About Shayne, Massage Therapist
Shayne has been suffering from a rare eye condition for the past 24 years which has slowly degenerated his eyesight. Considered legally blind, Shayne has very little vision left and now has a guide dog to aid his every day life. He received his good mate William in October 2010 through Guide Dogs Queensland. William retired in 2019 and sadly passed away. His new guide dog, Ernie was matched with Shayne in early 2019.
Prior to becoming a qualified Massage Therapist and starting his own business, Shayne worked as a devoted and much loved chaplain at Maroochydore State Primary School for 11 years. Although he would have loved to continue his work as a chaplain, he felt it was his time to move on, largely due to his failing eye sight.
Shayne has been running a home clinic since 2012 assisting clients with a range of injuries and pain issues using Remedial Massage and Relaxation Massage.
Shayne has had the opportunity to speak at numerous events and churches as a motivational speaker. He has also represented Guide Dogs Queensland on several occasions, with speaking engagements, press articles and advertising.
